When the dog fails to pee on the carpet it's important to pet it and say "good dog!", even though not peeing on the carpet is sort of the minimum acceptable behavior. The same applies to politicians (except that they're never truly housebroken). Can we get an acknowledgment that maybe there is a tiny difference between the two parties?
I'm totally willing, but the dog still has its leg in the air -- I'll pet it when I know the outcome. But it's definitely looking good for the dog, is what I'm thinking.
